Client project story • Reinhart Industries
Robot reach studies.
A layout grounded in the actual cell.
Spinula supported Reinhart Industries with robot reach studies and layout verification for an updated automated manufacturing cell.
- Client
- Reinhart Industries
- Engineering scope
- Robot reach & layout verification
- Documented output
- Study report + verified layout
The engineering question
Could the robots reach the required working positions with the clearances needed in the revised layout? The study needed to reflect the current production arrangement rather than an earlier concept model.
What Spinula worked on
- Consolidated the latest AutoCAD layout and reference STEP models.
- Evaluated pending robot positions and revalidated positions studied previously.
- Reviewed pick-and-place access, working clearances and rear-swing constraints around conveyors, dunnage handling and a blow-off station.
- Updated robot positions, orientations and heights in the verified layout package.
The documented project package
A robot reach study / simulation report and a verified layout with confirmed equipment positions, angles and heights. The engineering and report-issue activities are recorded as completed.
Where the study fits
The package provides a reviewed layout reference for subsequent project decisions. The scope covered reach and clearance; physical floor anchoring and installation remained outside Spinula’s simulation scope.
This was a robot simulation and layout study, not a structural FEA engagement.
